Preschool Graduation

Samantha graduated from preschool May 17, 2011.

Here is how it all went down.

She was the leader of the pack. She was so nervous to be the first one through the door. The teacher had to prod her along. Sam would take one step out the door and then turn back around and have to get a little encouragement before she'd try again...and again.

The program started and they showed a little video of different activities they had done throughout the year. When the song "Let Them Be Little" was played...

I cried.

I couldn't help it.

Rod was probably a bit embarrassed to be sitting next to me.

Sam recited "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and yes, we were proud. It was fun to have Hallie along as well. She cheered and cheered for her little sister.

"My name is Samantha and when I grow up I want to be a....waitress." (dream big little one, dream big!)

Showing us how she can sign the alphabet.

Break your heart huh. Towards the end all the kids sang, "The Good-bye" song. Poor Sam did all she could to keep it together but her tear ducts are as weak as her mama's. She was blinking back the tears as fast as she could. She loved preschool. (Pretty sweet if ya ask me. I sure love her.)

I love this picture. Sam so poised and Miss Hallie off to the side with the video camera.

Congrats to my Graduate.

Ok, I loved the entire thing..and then your last sentence suddenly fast-forwarded it to her HS graduation and I nearly keeled over. I agree with the cry song: Let them be little! :) And stay that way...

WOW! Talk about reliving the Joy School days all over again, the nervous moments, tender songs, precious poems, and tearful parents. We are proud of you for having children and giving them the opportunities they are experiencing. We are proud of Sammy at this special time of her life. You are wise to record these moments and we thank you for sharing them with all of us. Love you all! Dad
P.S. Sammy will make a great waitress. I think every loving and giving mother has felt like a waitress at some point in her life, besides being a cook, diswasher, and taxi driver.

She is just 100% sugar! Way to go Miss Sam! And hey, I still sometimes want to be a waitress. I think it would be kinda fun. Hooray for the grad!
